Types of
porta potties

Most often placed in clusters for outdoor events or short-term construction; will come as a standalone stall with reinforced walls, ventilation, toilet paper, mirror, and sink. Standard portable toilets may have up to a 60-gallon holding tank capacity.

A standard handicap-accessible portable toilet provides additional room and handrails for wheelchairs and special needs individuals. Handrails can be found on three of four porta potty walls; handicap-access units may be required to meet ADA regulations at large events.

with Sink

Similar to the standard portable unit, this model comes with a hand washing sink, soap, and paper towel dispensers; best used for large events and construction sites.

Standard Flushing

A flushing portable toilet is a popular choice for special occasions without traditional restroom access, especially weddings, birthday parties, and fundraisers; unit will come with reinforced walls, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers, ventilation, mirror, sink, and flushing toilet with up to a 60-gallon holding tank.

Standard with
Baby Changing

A standard porta potty with extra room and a baby changing station is a must for family-friendly events; may provide up to 1.5 times the space of a standard unit.

Available in some states, such as California, solar restrooms provide solar-powered lighting without the need for electricity; solar units are popularly used at weddings, for parties, and on movie and TV sets.

Portable Restroom Trailer

A step above the standard porta potty, a restroom trailer provides a spacious, clean, luxury restroom option for special occasions and VIP events. A restroom trailer may be as large as 24′ x 8.5′ to include separate men’s and women’s facilities; restroom trailers contain up to two sinks and four stalls with air-conditioning, radio, lighting, and water hookup. Restroom trailers may come with up to a 900-gallon holding tank. These also sometimes come equipped with solar-powered lighting.

VIP Restroom Trailer

Luxury portable restroom trailers are available and may vary by supplier; upgraded restroom trailer features for black-tie events, as well as presidential use, may include skylights, granite countertops, oversized mirrors, cherry wood paneling, air-conditioning and heating, hands-free flushing toilets and faucets, hands-free soap and paper towel dispensers, and up to a 1,600-flush capacity.
